Get help from AI

Creatomate is built to work with AI assistants. Whether you use ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI, your assistant can help you with every part of the platform: designing templates, writing API integrations, setting up Zapier, Make.com, or n8n workflows, and figuring out why a render didn't come out the way you expected.

The best way to get help is your AI's browser extension. Instead of copy-pasting back and forth, your assistant sees the page you're on and works with you: it edits the template you have open and operates your feeds. And because a real automation is more than Creatomate alone, it can switch to your other tabs to help build the workflow around it.

  • Install your AI's extension: ChatGPT or Claude in Chrome.
  • Open your template or feed in Creatomate.
  • Start the conversation with this prompt:
Read Creatomate's AI instructions at https://creatomate.com/llms.txt and follow them. Then help me with the Creatomate template I have open in this browser.

From there, just talk to it:

  • "Build a 9:16 voiceover template with auto-generated subtitles"
  • "The text overflows on some renders, make it fit every time"
  • "Why are my renders failing?"
  • "Set up an n8n workflow that takes files from Google Drive, turns them into videos, and posts them to social media"
Only use a capable AI model for template design, such as GPT-5.5 Instant or Claude Sonnet. Do not use smaller models such as GPT-5.5 mini or Claude Haiku, because they may break your template.

No extension? Use any chat

Every AI chat can help, on any device, with nothing to install. Paste the following prompt into a new chat:

Read Creatomate's AI instructions at https://creatomate.com/llms.txt and follow them. I'd like to use Creatomate to automatically create videos or images. Can you help me set it up?

Your assistant reads Creatomate's instructions at creatomate.com/llms.txt, then asks about your use case and guides you from there, one step at a time.

To let it see a template you're working on, open that template in the editor, click the { } icon in the toolbar (or press F12) to open the source editor, and paste the JSON into the chat.

Give your AI direct access

For headless work, or assistants that don't run in your browser (like coding agents), connect your AI to your Creatomate account. It can then browse your templates, create and edit them, and check your renders:
